Phoenix Resorts for Families
Hilton Phoenix Tapatio Cliffs Resort
Central to many Phoenix bucket list attractions, Hilton Phoenix Tapatio Cliffs Resort offers both convenience and amenities.
Living in Texas, I miss the mountains. There isn’t much that tops a sunset view over jagged mountains jetting up to the sky. Hilton Phoenix Tapatio Cliffs Resort is surrounded by mountain views and hiking trails.

Additionally, they have a total of seven pools including their Falls Water Village with waterfalls, a 138-foot water slide, poolside cabanas, and a hot plunge whirlpool.
Families with young children will love the zero-entry pool. It is the perfect place to let the little ones play in the water while cooling off from the hot sun.

If the adults in the family are golf lovers, they can play the highest tee in Phoenix while admiring the spectacular views of the Phoenix North Mountain Preserve or relax at a luxurious spa treatment at Tocaloma Spa & Salon.
There are choices for on-site dining options as well such as the poolside Cascades Café; breakfast, lunch and dinner options at Pointe In Tyme; Starbucks Coffee lobby bar; and fine dining at the award-winning Different Pointe of View.
Tip for Families with small children – if you are staying in one of the buildings close to the main pool, I’d suggest getting a room on the first floor. While the second floor has better views of the mountains and the property, there aren’t elevators to help with heavy strollers or baby gear.
Great Wolf Lodge
The brand new Great Wolf Lodge Arizona is a family-favorite. With both an indoor waterpark and tons of fun activities for the whole family, the only problem you’ll have here is that you don’t want to leave.
At Great Wolf Lodge, you can enjoy a ropes course, mini-golf, an arcade, Build-A-Bear Workshop, rock climbing wall, Oliver’s Mining Company, a bowling alley, MagiQuest interactive game, and tons of fun shops.
To get the most value for your experiences, Great Wolf Lodge offers Attraction Passes for all ages. Our favorite pass for Max, at age two, is the Pup Pass. It includes one Build-A-Bear, one Great Wolf Lodge Candy Shop candy cup, one, single scoop of ice cream from Ben & Jerry’s, and one Paw Points game card for Northern Lights Arcade.
There are eight dining options including Dunkin Donuts, Ben & Jerry’s, and Hungry as a Wolf with pizza options for the whole pack.
Your stay at Great Wolf Lodge includes access to the water park and daily events so you’ll already have items to cross off your Phoenix bucket list.
The indoor waterpark includes a perfectly-sized playground for the little ones and high-speed thrills for the bigger ones too.
If you’d prefer to be outdoors, Raccoon Lagoon is where you’ll want to be. There is an all-around three-foot, six-inch deep water play area, with fountains and plenty of poolside seating for soaking up the sun.
